Bug Clear Ultra Concentrate
Bugclear Ultra Concentrate MAPP12905
A new insecticide that gives fast-acting contact and long-lasting systemic control of many pests including aphids, whitefly, scale insects and mealy bugs. Will protect ornamentals against new bug attack. Concentrate for dilution in your own sprayer for treating large areas.
Spray kills on contact and gets inside the plant’s sap stream to kill greenfly, blackfly, whitefly, mealy bugs and scale insects – even those hiding away under leaves.
Some decorative plants are subject to pest attack every year. Roses always seem to get greenfly; nasturtiums blackfly and fuchsias whitefly. More worryingly rhododendrons and other shrubs are attacked by scale insects and mealy bugs that have an outer covering that protects them from ordinary contact sprays.
But you can kill all these sap-sucking pests with one simple spray of BugClear Ultra.
The active ingredient works in two ways. Firstly it’s a contact pest killer that quickly eliminates the greenfly and blackfly that are sprayed. Secondly it also works systemically – going into the plant’s leaves and moving in the sap stream to protect the whole plant for weeks to come. This means BugClear Ultra kills the pests that are hiding away from the spray or those such as scale insects and mealy bugs that have a protective covering. The pests absorb the insecticide through their mouth parts and soon die.
One simple spray on ornamental plants effectively kills most common pests – just spray the plant thoroughly and BugClear Ultra makes it clean from the inside out.
Each 200ml bottle of concentrate will make up to 20 litres of spray when diluted in water in your own pressure sprayer.
Bugclear is a new insecticide that is effective against a range of common and tough pests, including whitefly, greenfly, blackfly and other aphids, scale insects and mealy bugs, and gives a useful level of control of thrips. Bugclear works in two ways: on contact - it kills pests rapidly and systemically - it is absorbed into the plant so that it kills difficult or hidden pests as they feed (for example, scale insects on ornamental plants). Spray as the first appearance of insects or symptoms. Apply Bugclear with a garden sprayer. You can use Bugclear Ultra on flowers, roses and ornamental plants (plants grown for their appearance only).
Instructions for use: For use only as a home garden insecticide. For use on ornamental garden plants and houseplants. The maximum dose must not exceed 10ml of product per litre of water. Maximum number of treatments = 4 per year.
When to use: Outdoors - use from April until the end of September. Indoors – use all year round.
Spray from the first appearance of insects or symptoms. If necessary repeat spray after 10-21 days. The best time to spray is early morning or evening, avoiding bright sunlight.
Where to use: You can use Bugclear Ultra on flowers, roses and ornamental plants (plants grown for their appearance only). Bugclear Ultra is ideal for use outdoors, in greenhouses and conservatories.
How to use: Use measure provided and add 10ml for each litre of water in a garden sprayer. Mix thoroughly and use immediately. Spraying the product evenly to wet leaves until just before run-off. Wait for spray to dry before handling plants. Pesticide resistance in glasshouse whitefly and some aphids is widespread. Where resistant pests are present Bugclear Ultra is unlikely to give control. Bugclear Ultra has been shown to be safe to most plants. It is always advisable to test a sample of plants, by treating them and leaving for at least four weeks, before treating a large or valuable collection.
