Rate of use
Composts
For use in containers using a quality loam based or soilless compost 12oz (350 gms) per 100 litres of compost. Use 1¼ oz (35 gms) per 2 gallon (10 litre) bucketful. Mix well, fill the container and pot up.
New plantings of shrubs
Uniformly sprinkle Yearlong into the planting hole.
For containers use rate according to the diameter of container.
Up to 8” (20cm) 1oz (28gm)
Up to 10” (25cm) 1½oz (42gm)
Up to 12” (30cm) 2oz (56gm)
For field grown shrubs (bare root or root balled) use rate according to height.
Up to 12” (30cm) ½oz (14gm)
1-2ft (30-60cm) 1oz (28gm)
2-3ft (60-90gm) 2oz (56gm)
New plantings of trees
Treat young trees according to height – apply ½oz (14gm) per 2ft (60cm).
Treat semi-mature trees according to diameter – apply ½oz (14gm) per 1” (2½cm) diameter.
Top dressing
To beds and borders with shrubs, heathers, ericaceous plants, perennials etc, sprinkle Yearlong between plants to uniformly cover the whole area. Lightly hoe or fork in. Use 4oz per sq. yd (135gm per sq. m).
Additional feeding
Will not normally be necessary for one year after application when further amounts of Yearlong can be applied according to size of plant. In exceptional seasons of high temperature and heavy rainfall Yearlong may become prematurely exhausted and supplementary liquid feeding can be given to vigorous specimens.
Note: The resin coating is not damaged by frost. It may remain in the soil after nutrients have been removed and will gradually safely decompose.
Storage & Safety
Store safely in the original container away from pets and children. Keep dry and re-seal after use. Unused product will remain fully active if kept totally dry and cool. Wash hands after use.
